RAVPower Wireless Charging Stand (RP-PC069)

This charging stand provides the fastest charge to both iPhone and Android smartphones and includes a wall charger and long USB cable.

$39.99

The RAVPower Wireless Charging Stand (RP-PC069) can charge common smartphones like the iPhone XR from empty to about 50 percent in an hour, while much of the competition is closer to 30 or 40 percent. Unlike some Qi chargers (including our budget picks) this model comes with the charging stand plus a cable and a wall plug, so you don’t need anything else to charge your phone. Its power-indicator light isn’t so bright as to be disruptive in a dark room (and is easy to cover if you’re bothered by it) and the charger didn’t make any noises in our tests. Available in black or white, the stand’s simple design will blend into most environments. It’s certified to be safe by the Wireless Power Consortium but if anything goes wrong, RAVPower’s warranty covers you for 18 months, with an extra year of protection if you register the product at ravpower.com.

Charging speed: 7.5 W for iPhones, 10 W for Android phones

RAVPower Fast Wireless Charger (RP-PC034)

RAVPower Fast Wireless Charger (RP-PC034)

If you prefer a charger that holds your phone flat, this model will charge your phone as fast as the best stand-style chargers and still includes a wall charger and cable in the box.

The RAVPower Fast Wireless Charger (RP-PC034) is a great option if you prefer your phone to lay flat while charging. It has the same 10-watt charging coil as the RP-PC069, so it will charge your phone just as fast, and it comes with the same cable and AC adapter. You might prefer a pad-style charger because they’re generally less expensive than equally fast as stand-style chargers or if you’d rather not be tempted to look at your screen.

The other downside to wireless charging is that you can’t pick up your phone and use it while it’s charging, unlike with a cable connection. This makes wireless charging a better option for recharging overnight or when you want to see the phone’s display on your desk or in the kitchen than for charging while you’re watching Netflix or scrolling through Twitter.
