Plantronics BackBeat Go 410

(1 customer review)

The BackBeat Go 410 earbuds aren’t completely wireless, but they deliver good noise cancellation and sound quality, and you can use them in wired mode.

$107.59

they’re a great choice for people who want Bluetooth earbuds with active noise cancelling. The collar-style chassis is lightweight and comfortable, and it folds up easily into an included pocket-sized bag. Plus, the charging cable doubles as a wired input for instances when you’re out of power or for use with non-Bluetooth devices. The rated eight-hour battery life with noise cancelling activated (10 with ANC off) isn’t as long as we’d like, but it will get you through a full workday.

These headphones are for music lovers who want to listen wirelessly while at (or commuting to) work or school, but who also need Bluetooth earbuds that can take calls clearly—something that wireless workout headphones struggle with. Whether you’re sitting at your desk, in a plane or train, or in the back of an automobile, any of these picks should offer a reliable way to get great-sounding music to your ears and a clear-sounding voice to your phone-call recipients. On- or over-ear Bluetooth headphones are also capable of hitting these points, but they can get in the way of glasses and are quite bulky next to even the largest collar-based earbud designs.

Many of the headphones in this category are resistant to water or sweat, but none of them are primarily designed for high-impact activities, so you likely won’t want to use them for more than light weightlifting and walking. For workouts.

Product description

Color:Bone

Escape with the BackBeat GO 410, wireless, active noise-canceling (ANC) earbuds. Its lightweight design provides comfortable all-day listening, while dual-mode ANC makes it easy to control how much noise you tune out. When you want to hear your surroundings, patent-pending magnetic smart sensors latch to conserve battery power by disabling ANC and disconnecting your earbuds from your Bluetooth device. Bluetooth is automatically reconnected and ANC is turned on when the magnets are unlatched, so they’re ready when you want to listen to music or need to take a call.

I bought this product based on reviews from many sites saying it was an affordable noise cancelling wireless headphone that could rival Bose products. I was particularly drawn to the smart sensor feature which turns off the headphone when the buds are brought together via magnets.

However the smart sensors broke after 4 days of use and I was unable to get them to work again after communicating with Plantronics customer support. In addition the ear buds are quite uncomfortable in the ear. I replaced the silicone tips Plantronics provided with some old Bose tips but they do not stay on the buds very well and fall off easily, although they were more comfortable.

Noise cancellation was fine and the wireless paired easily with devices. However the batter life is pretty weak.

Would not recommend this product for someone looking at a durable everyday headphone.
